The Superior Spanish Imperial Eagles

The Spanish Imperial Eagles are known scientifically as the Eastern Imperial Eagle. At first they were considered to be a sub species of the Eastern Imperial Eagles. Now, they are considered as a different species.

The Majesty of The Philippine Eagle -- The Largest Eagle in the World

The Philippine Eagle


The Philippine eagle is one of the largest of it's Kind existing here on earth today. Deforestation has caused this majestic looking mammal to decrease in number. There are a few hundreds of them that are living in the wild today. They can be found in the provinces of Leyte ,Mindanao, Samar and parts of Luzon. With the devastation of Leyte, by Typhoon Haiyan, these beautiful looking eagles must have migrated to other places like Samar or even other parts of Luzon and Mindanao. This species is known as pithecophaga jifferiyi. It is also called Haribong or Haring Ibon. If you translate it in to English, it's called King Eagle. Their prey consists of toddy cats known as palm civets. In the wild they are known as monkey eating eagles. This monkey eating eagle feed also on such animals like: large snakes, monitor lizards and even horn bills. These great looking bird was discovered by an English Explorer named John Whitehead.
